AiG Conference! Sooo, about a week after the women’s conference Jo and I got to join Grace, Nickie, Leah, Elise, and Christina on yet another venture to Kentucky. This conference was being held over Easter weekend at the same time the Athiests’ convention was being held in Cincinnati, Ohio. The AiG conference was hosting such keynote speakers as Ray Comfort, E. Z., Mark Spence, Ken Ham, Dr. Jason Lisle, and so many more. I was really excited to be able to go.
Whilst Nickie and Grace took care of the booth, the rest of us volunteered. Leah volunteered at the Michael Obrien booth. One of my favorite things about volunteering with AiG is how amazing the staff is. They are so kind and it has a family like atmosphere there.
Plus, who doesn’t like to work with desserts? 😉
I also got to meet one of my dad’s co-workers from several years back. He now works with the Living Waters ministry.
He told me how my dad was one of the biggest examples in his life to draw him to Christ. That was really neat to hear, and I’m so glad I got to meet him.
We had quite a bit more free time this time around and toured the Ark and enjoyed Emzara’s Buffet once or thrice (no, that’s not a typo). 🙂 We also got to sit in on several sessions, my two favorites were Dr. Lisle’s and Mark Spence’s. Oh, and E.Z.’s (make that three).
We stayed with the same awesome hosts as the last time (I’m sad I don’t have a picture of them), and stayed about four days.
One big highlight was meeting Buddy Davis, he was very gracious and let me take a picture with him. My siblings and I love his music and videos (which is funny, considering that we only just heard of him in October of last year).
I’m sorry if this seems short, now I’m off to make a post about the Bright Lights conferences. Hope you enjoyed the update!
